Q: What can I use Filtize for?
A: One of the best current use for Filtize is to monitor and filter in real-time a search onTwitter.

Q: Is Filtize a free service?
A: Yes. Based on feedback we might also provide additional features for a small fee or an enterprise version.

Q: How do I use the service?
A: Filtize features a ? button on the upper left which when moused over; list main functions and how to use them.
A: We have also a short demo posted on YouTube here (please select HD for best viewing).

Q: What browsers are supported?
A: Filtize has been tested for various versions of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome under various versions of Operating Systems (including Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and OS X).

Q: What languages are supported?
A: Filtize can be used in any language; but has been optimized for English, Spanish and French. More languages will be added in the future.

Q: Why can't I see a new window when I click on Link or the user picture/name?
A: Your browser needs to allow Pop Up windows. Refer to specific instructions for your browser/OS.

Q: What are the differences between “Filtize topics”, “Twitter trends” and “Filtize trends”?
A: “Filtize topics are Filtize pre-defined searches for a specific topic
Twitter trends are Twitter most popular searches as defined by Twitter and are changing over time.
Filize trends are latest Filtize searches and are changing over time.

Q: I am doing a new search but see only 100 or so tweets. Why is that?
A: For historical purposes; we are retrieving the last 100 tweets but once started the search is persistent and we keep retrieving data and cache up to 20 000 tweets.

Q: Are all tweets retrieved/displayed?
A: Yes, unless you are filtering with the UI.

Q: How often are tweets refreshed?
A: Currently, tweets are refreshed every 10 secs on the client while continuously retrieved on the server using the Streaming API.

Q: Some of the words in the Trends list look incomplete. Why is that?
A: Filtize is using stemming algorithms which go back to the root of the word allowing for improved filtering / matching. “Favorit”; for instance; allows matching with favorite, favorites, favorited, etc ..
